I’ve found a lot of good live albums on Bandcamp (which I was referred to by a friend), but Cosmograf was a really treasured find. Great music, lyrics which leave you thinking, and a nice indica edge (don’t worry, I’m in Canada, I’m allowed to talk about that stuff! ). Thank you Cosmograf!
A retrospective album in both theme and style, Robin Armstrong’s 6th album harks back to the sound and feel of the classic prog era fused with the raw energy and darkness of a rock behemoth. The 6 track album is measured at a single LP length and instrumentally delivers the
vintage sound of guitar, bass and drums with a sprinkling of classic keyboards.
The theme presents as a mythical tale of a farm labourer meeting an early death, and leaving a loving wife and young family. His widow builds a scarecrow effigy as a shrine to her loss, and this ‘Hay-Man’ spends his weather beaten days in eternity, dreaming beyond his field.

Very Genesis-y and Yes-y but definitely not copies. A band that should be considered on par with those previously mentioned, Big Big Train impressed me so so much with this album. I didn't expect to find something so amazing here. I really wished to have these extra tracks on a CD but digital will have to do. It's is simply amazing. Thank you so much for giving me hours of enjoyment Mavil64
